Spouses and Families:

Our Health & Safety Officer, Rhonda Kelly, has been approached by several AFD spouses about forming a network for spouses and families. It would be an informal way for spouses/significant others of AFD firefighters to meet one another and create a network for future interaction. We know everyone is busy and most don’t have time to add another social obligation, so this isn’t about meetings or scheduled gatherings. It’s a support network so spouses and families can feel they have connections and support available from others who understand issues involved with the fire service. Firefighters have each other to rely on at work, it’d be nice for the families to have a similar network. There’s definitely a lot of interest and Rhonda is compiling the contact list.
